a brief introduction
Tripura Puppet Theatre is a non-profit organisation based in Tripura, India, devoted to the research, development, and active practice of puppetry, set up in 1974 with a view to entertain, educate and inform through puppetry. It also experiments with stagecraft, stage-lighting, music and acting in addition to other thespian arts.
our productions
Across its 44 years, Tripura Puppet Theatre has produced over a dozen different puppet plays, performed to audiences in India and abroad. In 2012, the play Bisarjan was performed as a part of a celebration of 60 years of diplomatic relations between India and Germany, named Days of India in Germany, where it was received with great praise and heavy appreciation.
